How to Vote

This will be an election by mail. Registered voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail at the address on his or her registration. Cedar County's election clerk will mail ballots to all voters within the school district's three counties between April 21 and May 3.​

All ballots must be returned before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 within a sealed Return Identification Envelope. You may return your ballot by:

US Mail

Place postage on the pre-addressed Return Identification Envelope and mail on or before Monday, May 5.

         

Hand Deliver

Return the ballot to the election office during business hours or put inside the Election Drop Box outside your county election office.

 

​Cedar County will collect ballots from all three counties and process the election results.

IMPORTANT DATES

Friday, April 18: Are you a registered voter? April 18 is the last day to register to vote using the State of Nebraska's online voter registration service. 

​

April 21 - May 3: Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters.

​

Friday, April 25: If you are not a registered voter, April 25 is the last day to register to vote. You may register in person with your county election official​.

​​

Monday, May 5: If you are returning your ballot by mail, it's recommended that you mail it ASAP, but no later than May 5 to ensure it is received by May 13 at 5 p.m.​

​

Tuesday, May 13: Election Day. If hand-delivering your ballot, please return to your county election offices by 5 p.m.​ Cedar County will collect and process this election.
